Re’equil Pea Protein & Ceramide Hair Mask

Re’equil Ceramide Hair Mask is specifically made for Dry & Damaged Hair. Ceramides are an important factor when it comes to barriers so it’s famous as a skincare ingredient but Hair Barrier is just as important. Using a hair mask that has ceramide is great for you if you are prone to hair breakage. If you are curious whether this hair mask works for damaged hair then keep on reading.

Product Description:

Re’equil Pea Protein & Ceramide Hair Mask is formulated for every hair type. The essence of plant-based protein offers optimal hydration to the hair and prevents them from breakage. Its high amino acid content, not only helps to strengthen weak hair strands, but also makes hair healthier, shinier, and voluminous. Ceramides help to keep hair cuticles flat, which ultimately increases the resistance towards extreme weather conditions. In addition, they also help to restore the elasticity, moisture retention, and shine of the scalp, by deeply nourishing and replenishing hair. Additionally, Omega-3 fatty acids boost hair growth and promoting hair shine and luster. They also foster hair follicles with essential proteins and nutrients that ultimately contribute to good-looking hair.

Packaging:

The hair mask comes in regular tub packaging made of plastic. It comes with a stopper which is easy to remove I really like that. Mess-free packaging is the way to my heart. The color combo is white and pink it looks super simple but pretty. All required information is on the tub itself which again is awesome. The tub is lightweight so it’s easy to carry but obviously, nobody carries hair masks around for small trips.

Formula:

The consistency is that of a thick moisturizer. It spreads easily on the hair just use your fingers over a brush. This mask can be applied to the roots as well as on hair length. It does have added fragrance which I am not the biggest fan of. The smell actually bugs me but it doesn’t smell bad after washing it off so I use it. This mask can be applied on dry as well as wet hair. I prefer using wet fingers makes the application must easier. The mask works wonders in 10 mins but you can keep it on for 10 to 20 mins.

My Experience with Re’equil Ceramide Hair Mask:

There aren’t many hair masks on the market that have ceramides as the main ingredient. So finding one and seeing that it works made me really happy. My hair gets extra frizzy in winters and this mask really helped me manage the extra dryness my hair suffers from. When I first used it, I wasn’t that impressed I just thought its just like any other hair mask and frankly, the effect wasn’t anything great either. Not for the first couple of times. But when I kept using it I realized it is actually making my hair ends more healthy-looking and my scalp is not as dry either.

The mask makes your hair stronger and healthier the more you use it but you have to keep using it at least for 4 weeks back to back to see a difference. I took long gaps in between that’s why it took me a while to realize what the mask was doing. This mask does help your hair fall if it’s due to breakage but it doesn’t help if it’s a root problem. So do not expect it to stop your hair fall even though it has pea protein in it. I didn’t see any extra help with hair growth either. This mask is meant only to help restore shine and give you healthy-looking hair.

For me, this mask is only for managing dry damaged hair. It does nothing else. But I really like using it and since I am already finished with my tub I’m definitely repurchasing. The tub will last you 2 to 3 months depending on your hair length. I went through mine quickly since I had long hair in between. But since I have short hair now I am sure the tub will last me longer.

When and How I like to use this mask?

I prefer using this at least once in 15 days. Especially on days, I know my hair looks extra rough and my scalp feels dry. I apply this all over and leave it on for 20 mins minimum. Sometimes when I am in a mood, I will either use a steamer or will spray some hot water and wear a cap. This helps your hair strands to retain the moisture from the mask and makes it extra soft and manageable. Also, it’s easier to wash it off. I use a mild hair cleanser. The mask washes off easily just use shampoo. Just see that you don’t use this on a really greasy or oily scalp washing off the dirt will become a pain otherwise and can cause build-up leading to dandruff/itchy scalp.

Comparison with Olaplex Smart Bond no3

This isn’t like a proper comparison because these are two separate hair products but it does claim to have similar benefits so doing a quick comparison on which one I like more.

First of all the Olaplex is super expensive and you need more quantity so it doesn’t justify the price. The texture and feel are quite similar olapex smell is much better though. The lasting effects of the olaplex are better and longer when compared to the re’equil one. Olaplex needs to be applied on clean hair and this one also doesn’t help with root cause hair fall and hair growth just like Re’equil ceramide hair mask. They both can be applied to roots and help manage the bond and strength of your hair strands making them more manageable and reduce the damage caused by either treatments or pollution.

Comparatively, I think Re’equil Cermaide Hair mask is a much better choice it gives the same results while costing less.

Do you need the Re’equil Ceramide Hair Mask in your Hair Care Routine?

  • Sulfate and silicone-free formulation
  • Moisturizes your scalp as well compared to other hair masks (that are only meant for hair length)
  • Suffering from dry flaky scalp and see some peeling or heat boils this mask helps with issues like these.
  • Helps strengthen your hair which means less breakage over a period of time.
  • If you get regular keratin treatment done you would really love this hair mask
  • If you have color-treated hair especially bleached definitely recommend this mask.
  • Curly hair people will love this too as it doesn’t weigh your hair down or mess with your curls. It’s curly girl-friendly.

This mask is definitely a must-try at least once but don’t expect drastic results from the get-go. You need to use it a couple of times back to back to see some difference. Just keep a minimum of 6-8 days gap between uses and wash it well so it doesn’t cause build-up.
