Packaging:

Regular plastic tub packaging with screw cap but I really like the color of the tub which is a beautiful blue like the seawater. Not much information is on the tub so you may have to keep the outer box for the information if you want. The name of the product and the brand is on the bottom part of the tub. The packaging is see-through so you can see the quantity inside which is convenient. Even though the tub is medium size its easy to travel with since its not heavy.

My Experience:

This is my 3rd tub and this is something I am gonna keep repurchasing no matter what else I am using. I came across this by mistake in one of the loreal counters in the mall. I was using a similar water burst sleeping mask which was from Japan my friend had given me and I was looking for a dupe for it since I was really loving that one and I definitely found a similar/dupe and I totally love using this.

Formula: The consistency is extremely lightweight water. It dissolves the moment it touches the skin. Its looks and feels like a gel but when you apply it on your face it turns into water and it absorbs super quickly on the skin. It’s cooling on the skin. You can feel the cool freshness on the skin. It does have some flowery scent to it but its not overpowering and dries down in a couple of hours. The scent is soothing and hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin so I’m okay with it.

The skin instantly feels and looks soft and smooth and dewy. It feels like you splashed some water on your skin. There is a slight stickiness for a while but that goes way in sometime so apply this mask 15 mins before you get to bed.

Ways to use it: I would suggest using this only at night since it can get heavy for the day but if you have very dry skin then you can use this in the day. I prefer using this at night as the last step in my PM routine. Now I don’t use this every night since I use different skincare and have different PM routine but I use this alternately. Even though this is lightweight in consistency, I would still say use it at the end of your skincare and don’t put anything over it since it makes a layer on top and nourishes your skin through the night.

Sometimes in the day when my skin feels like it needs a pick me up, I apply a thick layer of this as a mask and leave in on for 20 mins and then either wash it off or just wipe off the excess. I love using this with serums that dry out my skin. My fav combination is with the Body Shop Tea Tree Night Mask. It also works great with Face shop serums.

What I don’t use it with: I don’t use this when I use acid in my skincare even though it doesn’t really react I have sensitive skin so I avoid it. Also, don’t mix this with facial oils it kind off works weirdly so avoid that.

My Recommendation:

If you are looking for a simple sleeping mask for hydrated and plump skin then go for this. This works for both oily and dry skin even sensitive combination skin. It works with almost all types of serums unless you are using AHA or BHA. This also works fine with vitamin C. If you want a really hydrating sleeping mask or something that works with everything then skip this. This hydrates but in winter it’s not enough for very dry skin. But if you suffer from flaky skin or peeling skin then you would definitely love this. Also, this is great for acne-prone skin.

If you have stressed skin or you work on Computer a lot and don’t get enough sleep you should seriously give this one a shot. It is great for stressed skin.

My Rating: 4/5

{Major con Loreal isn’t cruelty-free also it’s not enough for very dry skin in winters}
