Packaging:

I love the small compact glass packaging of this one. Especially because of its gel consistency. The color pink looks amazing, love the vibrancy it gives. At the same time, you can see the quantity inside. Not much information is on the tub itself other then the name of the brand and the name of the product. It does have some weight to it but I think you can travel with it. The packaging does feel luxurious which I love.

My Experience:

This is actually my 2nd tub. I bought one when I was in college and liked using it but back then I was super inconsistent so I did not repurchase it then. I bought this a year or so back again and I use it mostly in summer or hot weather since it really helps me in cooling down my eye area. I’m actually almost done with this one I saved it because I needed to take some pictures. Now I’m gonna finish using this up since October is gonna be hot and will purchase another one when I’m done with this.

Formula: The consistency is gel which works great for every skin type especially oily skin. It gives the right kind of hydration without making your under-eyes look greasy. The feel of the gel is really cooling around the eyes. It gets absorbed super fast. There is a scent to the gel if you smell it in the tub, it smells like mild wine but when you apply it you can’t really smell anything so it doesn’t bother the eyes. Regular use of the gel gives you hydrated and firm looking under eyes.

You can start using this under eye gel early as it helps with slowing down the wrinkles since it is hydrating. For a more cooling experience, you can keep this in the fridge but I don’t because if I do I’ll forget it in there. This is great to use in the day since its very lightweight and feels refreshing. It works as a great base for under eye concealer. This also works over makeup without disrupting the concealer. If you have very dry under eyes then you are gonna need another eye cream for night. This eye gel is more proactive it will work better if you use this early and not after you already have a lot of wrinkles and flaky dry under eyes.

Trick: When I feel my eyes are too puffy or too tired and need a refreshment without spending too much on de-puffing eye mask I take a little extra of this gel and apply a thick layer under my eye and instead of tapping it in, I just let it sit there for a 5 mins then tap out the remaining around my eyes. It instantly makes my eyes way more refreshed and helps with the depuffing. But it can get expensive to do so all the time.

My Recommendation:

  • Definitely recommending this one as it works for all skin types.
  • Especially if you are younger with no major problems and looking for a good everyday eye gel.
  • If you want an eye gel during the hot weather then go for this.
  • If you work on a computer/laptop the whole day and get really tired eyes you should definitely get this and keep it in your handbag and apply this every 4-5 hours.
  • If you are expecting some super hydrating and with a lot of benefits eye gel then skip this one.

My Rating: 4/5

(the major problem with loreal skincare is the brand isn’t cruelty-free and I really hate that)
