Dr Sheth’s Sulphur Face Mask & O3+ Sulfur Cooling Mask

Sulfur Masks are great for oily acne-prone skin since it cools down your skin and helps with acne and also the acne marks that are left behind. Not a lot of people tell you but sulfur is also great if you suffer from allergies on your skin due to insect bites or due to pollution like dust and smoke. I have dry skin but I do prefer using sulfur masks in humid hot weather during which I suffer from heat boils and tiny bumps on my skin.

I did a short review of the O3+ Sulfur Cooling Mask on the Instagram post but I wanted to do a proper review and compare it to the other sulfur mask which is from Dr.Seth. They are similar at the same time a little different. Read the following reviews to know which one will work for you.

Also, look at the beautiful texture of these masks. I’m definitely loving the whole texture shots experience.

My Experience:

I bought this because I was liking another product by Dr. Seth and I wanted to try more from the brand. This brand is specially formulated for Indian skin with keeping in mind our skin concerns. This mask is will be perfect for you if you suffer from acne due to pollution or if you suffer from allergies related to weather changes. This doesn’t burn in any way even though it has sulfur. It calms your skin down and helps in drying out the acne faster, it also helps with the marks the acne leaves behind.

The scent of this feels strong when you open it but it doesn’t linger too long on the skin so it doesn’t irritate your nose or your eyes. The scent actually feels nice and floral after some time. This is a really mild version so it won’t cause any major tingle on your skin either. It’s great to use as a spot treatment too and mild enough to use every day as a spot treatment.

You can just evenly apply this on your face or as a spot treatment and leave it on for 10 mins then wipe it off with a wet muslin cloth. Use lukewarm water it works better. You can also apply it to other parts of your body wherever you have major acne or spots.

I don’t think it does a major effect on the stubborn masks or pigmentation but it does clear up your clogged pores around your nose and it also helps with whiteheads and makes your skin soft and smooth. Also, this mask doesn’t dry out your skin so you can use it, just in winters see that you moisturize afterward it can make your cheeks feel a little stretchy. This also works for sensitive skin.

Price-wise I do feel its a little expensive since you tend to get over with one tub very easily but if you use it for spot treatments it does last a really good time and you can always buy it at a discount with my 20% off coupon code or buy it when Dr.Sheth’s has buy 1 get 1 offer.

My Experience:

This was my first sulfur masks and I wasn’t sure what it was supposed to do when I bought it and when I first used it, it tingled and felt very cooling on the skin but when I washed it off I didn’t see any major difference and I thought this mask does nothing which was so wrong. It takes a while to see what this mask does and you have to use it every week to see the difference.

It’s easy to apply, you just have to apply it and leave it for 15 mins then wash it off or wipe it off with a wet cloth. Use room temperature water. This is messy to remove compared to Dr. Seth’s one. If you have oily skin and congested pores around your nose then use this mask twice a week for me once was fine since I have dry skin. These masks never made my skin dry not even in winters which I loved.

They claim that this makes helps in d-tan too but it doesn’t. It works for acne since it controls sebum and gives you a smooth finish and cools down your pimples. Also, this mask helps in not spreading the acne further. This doesn’t work as spot treatment also this isn’t mild enough to use every day so don’t. This mask is great in terms of the long run as it does help with controlling acne

The scent of this mask is really strong and stays on the skin for a little while so don’t apply too close to your eyes other than it’s fine. It’s the menthol scent that is strong. If you have oily skin and suffer from constant acne you would definitely love this mask. Also, it works if you suffer from mild whiteheads and blackheads.

Price-wise this works fine since a little goes a long way and this one tub will last you a good amount of time depending on your usage.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Recommendation based on comparison:

  • Price-wise: O3+ wins since it lasts longer too (but Dr.Seth masks do go on good discounts so you can buy it then since I have a code for 20% off it does become cheaper)
  • For acne-prone skin: Again I would say O3+ for the long run is better
  • For allergies and heat boils: Dr.Seth one works better
  • Home-grown brand: Dr.Seth is the choice
  • Scent wise: The Dr.Seth one smells better but the O3+ smells nice too but is strong
  • Spot Treatment: Dr.Seth one is better (this works if you get acne or pimple and don’t like to apply the mask all over your face constantly)
  • Cooling sensation: O3+ mask really cools down your skin instantly and calms down your boils or acne quickly. (If you suffer from cystic acne O3+ one works better)
  • Sensitive skin: Dr. Seth’s mask is better if you have very sensitive skin or a sensitive nose.
  • Dry skin: even though Dr.Seth does get drying in winters (only for very dry skin) I still think it works better for dry skin but O3+ works too since it doesn’t dry out your skin. Moisturizer afterward is important for both.
  • Pigmentation and Marks: Dr.Seth works a hair better than the O3+ one but both don’t do much in terms of fading marks completely especially the old ones.
  • Traveling: Dr. Seth’s tub is small and compact and doesn’t weigh too much so it’s easier to travel with.

I’m done with both masks completely. I have few uses left of the Dr.Seth masks after that I would repurchase Dr.Seth one since I have dry skin and I don’t get constant acne I just suffer from allergies so the Dr.Seth one will work but I am gonna miss the cooling sensation of the O3+ Mask. I do love them both equally so choosing one for me is totally dependent on what my skin needs at the moment.
