Packaging:

Deyga exfoliator comes in a plastic tub. The plastic used is of good quality. Sometimes the cap is a little problematic in closing. All required information is on the tub itself.

Texture & Scent:

The texture is grainy but when it comes in contact with water it dissolves super easily. Doesn’t feel harsh on the skin in any way. If you see the image the consistency is more watery. It has a scent that isn’t overpowering. You basically can smell the powders that don’t linger on the skin after washing.

My Experience:

I usually don’t shave my body hair I prefer waxing so I have less ingrown hair but thanks to the lockdown I just had to get down to shaving so I have been using more body exfoliators then ever. I prefer gel-based body scrubs more since they are easier to use and less messy. But I have realized that powder exfoliators are better when it comes to removing ingrown hair and removing tan.

This exfoliator from Deyga is perfect to use on your body especially your knees, elbows, and feet. It takes care of the dead skin without hurting your skin. You can use this twice a week. I like using this on my neck and underarms too. It needs to be used regularly for it shows better results. It’s not drying on the skin but I recommend using a moisturizer afterward.

You can use this exfoliator on your face too since it’s gentle but I just prefer it for the body since I already use a good balance of physical & chemical exfoliation for my face.

I have reviewed their Rose Face Pack that acts as a physical exfoliator too. To check the review: CLICK HERE

How I like to use it:

  • I wet my skin first.
  • Take some out in a small bowl so I don’t containment the tub by mistake with water.
  • Scoop some powder out and rub it between wet palms so its easier to rub it on the skin.
  • I massage my skin with the scrub for 2 to 3 mins all over. (use gentle strokes no matter how gentle the exfoliator is)
  • I concentrate on some parts of my body more than the others.
  • Then just wash it all off with water. It rinses really fast.
  • I always pat dry and use a moisturizer no matter what.
  • I actually love using body oil after powder exfoliation. (it makes your skin smoother and softer)
Reasons to try it:
  • If you love powder exfoliators.
  • You shave your legs and hands regularly.
  • Get tan easily. (not gonna make you fair🙄)
  • Budget-friendly
  • Love supporting small Indian brands with good quality products.
Reasons not to try it:
  • You hate the mess of using a powder cleanser
  • If you are lazy about mixing and cleaning up
  • Gel-based scrubs are something you prefer

Packaging: I really like the cute bag it comes in. It is wrapped in butter paper which comes off easily.

My Experience:

At first, I wasn’t sure I would like it since I am not a soap user I prefer shower gels with heavy perfume (I can’t help it, I love smelling OMG amazing). I have bumps and small rashes all over my body because I am born with problematic skin which is okay its not a big deal for me. Its mostly genetic in my case but if I find something that soothes those rashes and bumps then I do like the product.

And this charcoal soap does that for me. It cools down my skin. Since it has oils in it, it is not very drying on the skin. I am not the biggest fan of the castor oil I smell but it doesn’t linger on the skin so that’s fine. At first, when I didn’t rinse well it left a sticky residue but after that, I started rinsing my skin properly after using this soap.

I have cut up the soaps in many pieces and use one at a time. The bar is super big and lasts a good amount of time. It doesn’t easily dissolve if placed in water but don’t soak it for long. Keep it in a dry place so you can use the soap for longer.

This soap from Deyga has become something I reach for on days I have rashes or more bumps than usual. I am not saying all your acne will disappear but it does a good job of controlling and managing body acne.

Recommendations:

If you are a soap lover then for sure this is worth trying. Especially if you have body acne then this works for that. If you have super dry skin and no acne then you can try the other variants from their soap collection. But do try their handmade bar soap for sure. My mom is making me order the rose one for her.

This is actually a great gift to give someone who is a soap lover. If you have a friend or mom who loves cold-pressed soaps then do check out one of their variants.
