Simple Kind To Skin Moisturisers

A lot of you always ask me affordable face moisturizers and I always recommend the Simple kind to skin one. They have three variants and since I have all three I thought I’ll review them all together you can see which one will work for you. The price range is the same for all three and also the basic ingredients and packaging. These are always on some kind of discount online so get it then.

I have been using simple products way before they had even launched in India and I have these moisturizers for quite some time now. Also, all the below mentioned creams work for sensitive acne-prone skin since these don’t have any harmful irritating ingredients. They all don’t have any kind of scent either.

For reference: I have dry and sensitive skin with an oily T zone in summers.

Packaging: The packaging for all three is the same. It’s a regular plastic bottle container with a similar color scheme. Some information is printed on the backside. The use is pretty easy also this packaging is hygienic since you don’t have to dib your fingers in like you have in a tub packaging. But sometimes when the quantity is less it also does get annoying. I personally am okay with either packaging. Its travel-friendly but it’s big for everyday traveling.

Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser

My Experience:

If you suffer from dry patches or have dry skin then this cream will work for you. The formula is in between thick cream and a gel-based cream but it’s more on the creamy side. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin but it does take a min to get absorbed into the skin. It feels very cooling. It doesn’t clog your pores and it works even if you have acne. It also mixes well with cold-pressed or essentials oils. It also works below or above chemicals or peels like AHA, BHA or glycolic acid lactic acid. Infact this will work great as a buffer if you are trying to introduce any kind of acids in your skincare.

For me, I prefer this more in the dry season like winter or at night time. I use this in the day only when I feel my skin is too dry because otherwise, it does get a little heavy for me in summers in the day since I have an oily t-zone. When you just blend it, it does feel like you have a white cast but it goes away in a min or two. One bottle will easily last you full winter even with regular use.

Price: Rs 385/- for 125 ml

My Recommendation: I recommend this one for the dry skin. If you have combination skin then this one will work better in winters or for nighttime routine.

Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser

My Experience:

This is my fav from all three and I use this a lot more. This is my second bottle and its almost over and I need to get another. I like this more because I live in a humid place. This is lighter compared to the replenishing one, that’s why it’s perfect for oily, combination and normal skin. Even dry skin people who would love this since it does hydrate really well without making you sweat in the heat.
This one works great under makeup or over. Even though this is lightweight it keeps your skin hydrated for a minimum of 10 hours. This one also works great with oils and various skincare acids. It doesn’t have any scent. This one gets absorbed very easily and quickly compared to the replenishing one and leaves no white cast.

Great for daily use and at night you can mix couple of drops of marula oil and make it multitasking night cream. Also, an extra benefit of this cream is if you use it regularly it reduces your acne scars and also helps in fading your tan.

Price: Rs 385/- for 125 ml

My Recommendation: If you have oily skin or oily to combination skin and also normal skin you would definitely love this one. Even if you have dry skin and want something light for the summers or humid weather then go for this one. I personally love this one even though I have dry skin.

Simple Kind To Skin Protecting Light Moisturiser SPF 15

My Experience:

I bought this one because I really liked the light hydrating version and this felt similar plus with SPF. But the formula of this is a little thicker compared to the hydrating light version but not as thick as the replenishing one. For a second it feels like this has a scent but it doesn’t it’s just because it has SPF and because of this SPF, it also leaves a white cast which takes 2 to 3 mins to disappear. During the time it gets absorbed it does feel tacky but that way it works as a great primer for makeup.

The cream itself is very hydrating and great for day time use since it has SPF but I do use another sunscreen on top if I am stepping out in the sun since I feel 15 SPF is very less, I personally need 50 SPF. I like using this more in the winters since it gives another layer of hydration and I use this when I am staying home and not going out in the sun.

Its a good daily option depending on your needs but if you have oily skin I would say don’t go for this. If you have dry or combination or even normal skin this will work fine.

Price: Rs 395/- for 125 ml

My Recommendation: If you are looking for something to use daily which has mild SPF then this is a very good option. But if you have very oily skin then it could feel a little heavy.
