Packaging: It comes in a brown color glass bottle with a dropper which is good but I am not the biggest fan of the packaging. It’s not because the packaging is of bad quality because the glass bottle and the dropper is of great quality, I just feel the gel formula just doesn’t work with this kind of packaging. When its an oil-based serum the dropper is better but with gel, I feel like it could be something else or the dropper could be different like the Dot & Key serum packaging but Dr.Sheth’s has more sustainable packaging compared to Dot & Key so I am a little confused when it comes to the packaging of this serum. Overall its similar to Dr.Sheth’s other products where all required information is printed on the cardboard box it comes in.

My Experience:

Well, I live in the city, travel in the pollution so for me, anything that protects me from pollution is worth trying so I got this. I was using the Clinique Hydrating jelly as it has anti-pollution properties but that’s very expensive and I was looking for something more on the affordable side so I thought I will test this out. This isn’t affordable either since it does cost Rs 950/- for 30 ml but this is a serum and it does have other benefits and you can always use my 20% off code to get a discount so overall you can give this a try if you are looking for something which protects you from pollution and blue light.

Do you believe in Blue light? I never did before and I still don’t completely, but I do know we spend an awful lot of time on our laptops and phones which does harm our skin to some level so using something that will protect my skin I am all for it.

Now coming to the formula of the serum, It is a gel-based serum that feels cooling on the skin, it also hydrates the skin without feeling heavy. It absorbs on the skin really quickly and I feel like my skin just drank some water, I guess I feel that because the serum does have hyaluronic acid. Also, it has Niacinamide not in high dose so it is great if you want to start using niacinamide but are scared to use a potent serum. The combination gives the skin a smooth and soft base. The serum isn’t matte on the skin but it’s not dewy either it actually just blends on your skin and makes your skin normal.

How I use it: I prefer mixing two drops of this in my sunscreen and then applying it on my skin. I feel it makes my sunscreen go on much smoother and evenly. It also works as a great primer before makeup since it gives me a smooth base. You can obviously use this by itself before you apply your moisturizer & sunscreen. I prefer using this in the day since at night I use other serums that are thicker since I have dry skin.

If you have oily skin and don’t like to layer too many products but your cheeks sometimes feel drying then you should use this before your sunscreen and skip your moisturizer since this will give your skin the hydration it needs without feeling heavy or greasy.

Overall I really like this serum and I would definitely repurchase it since I like the way it makes my skin feel. I don’t know if it will be enough for me in winters but in summers I am loving it. I just wish I wasn’t so annoyed with the dropper. This serum is more a personal choice since it does perform really well but at the same time, it doesn’t do anything unique. It does protect from pollution according to me because every time I used this before going out (before lockdown) I noticed my skin felt smooth all day and I did not feel like my pores were clogged also it controlled my redness or inflammation I get due to pollution.

My Recommendation:

Pollution level overall has gone down since the world has been under quarantine, but as people come out more and use their personal transportations and less of public commute the pollution level is gonna rise up again so using something that will protect your skin against that is something you would prefer then do give this serum a try. Also if you are someone who works on a computer the whole day and does believe in blue light this will help you stress less. If you have sensitive acne-prone skin or suffer from inflammation then you would like this serum a lot. If you don’t believe in anti-pollution and blue light and have normal skin then you can skip this. If there is a serum that already gives you the hydration without feeling greasy then you can skip this.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐✨ 3 and a half out of 5

{because it is on the expensive side and not a fan of the packaging otherwise I like it}
