Packaging:

Deyga Rose & Mulethi Skin Brightening Pack comes in a glass bottle which is good and not too heavy. I can’t say it’s travel friendly in any way. But it is environment-friendly which is awesome.

Texture:

It is a finely milled powder. When you scoop some out you will see some lumps but when mixed with water or milk the lumps go away. You can easily make a smooth paste. You will see granules even after you make the smooth paste but they are not very harsh on the skin. If you just add in more water or milk the texture gets softer.

Scent:

There is a mild fragrance of rose in it. Not overpowering at all. I think it gets its scent from the essential oil. I don’t mind the essential oils in my skincare.

How I like to use it?

• Since I have dry skin I actually like mixing it with milk. But see that the milk is at room temperature otherwise lumps🙄. I also mixed it with aloe vera juice but milk wins for me.
• If you have normal to oily skin you can mix with it lukewarm water. Sensitive skin would like rose water or aloe vera more.
• I keep it on for 5 to 10 mins. Spraying some water or hydrosol in between works.
• When its time to remove I use wet fingers to gently massage the face mask. Do this step very gently so you don’t cause any kind of micro tear on your skin. It can feel a little harsh if you use harsh movements
• Then either I wash with water or I just use a wet face sponge or cloth.
• I follow it up with soothing toner & moisturizer. *very important
• On days when I want to use this just like a face pack I remove the mask with water pressure instead of massaging the mask or wiping it off with a cloth.

When do I use this mask?

• I prefer this on days my skin feels dull and textured. Also, I use this only once a week.
• But I do not mix this with my chemical exfoliation week. I try to use this face pack in that week where I know I am not going to use any kind of chemical exfoliation. So as to not over-exfoliate my skin.
• I like using this in the morning right before my shower because I do find it messy to clean up the mask in the basin.

When NOT to use this Face mask?

• If you have active acne or cystic acne please don’t use any kind of physical exfoliation especially the powder kind.
• Don’t use this face pack when you know you are going to use an AHA or BHA serum right after.

My Experience with Deyga Rose & Mulethi Skin Brightening Pack:

I like to keep a balance between physical and chemical exfoliation, so for me, this face pack works well. But I am always careful and you should be too.

Now coming to the benefits part.

• This mask makes my skin instantly soft and smooth to the touch.
• I see less texture on my skin after I use this.
• It is nondrying especially if I use it with milk. With plain water, it can be drying for my already dry skin.
• It removes fresh tan and makes your skin more even-toned.
• I like using this on my neck too. It removes deep level dirt for sure.
• When I kept using it every week I saw better results. If I use this once a week then skipped a few weeks after then the effect of the mask stayed only for 3 days max.

Recommendations:

Should you buy the mask? If you are a physical scrub lover then for sure get this. It’s one of the best physical scrub-mask for all skin types except acne-prone. Even if you are like me and usually take a break from chemical exfoliation every now and then, this mask is a great option to use in between. Also, this mask is great to remove tan from your hands and feet. I also use a little of it to exfoliate my underarms.

Why you shouldn’t buy it? You are a chemical exfoliation lover through and through. If you hate going through the trouble and mess of mixing water and powder. Or if you have super sensitive skin and physical scrub/mask just don’t work for you. If you are against essential oil then this isn’t for you.
