This summer is totally unpredictable and something weird is happening with the weather plus with all the stress and weird sleeping patterns I guess we all need the extra help we can get. I have dry skin but it gets combination in the summer but for some reason, my skin is feeling extra dehydrated and I am suffering from heat breakouts. To manage this in the day I usually use face mist since they help you feel fresh and hydrated. The cooling feeling a mist gives me is the best feeling in this heat so I decided why not put down all my fav mists so it can help you out in deciding which one you should give a try this summer. There is something for everyone. Most of the brands are Indian other than one and all are good quality brands that have many variants of mist you can try. I’ll specify my favorites from each brand.
Vilvah Tea Tree Water Facial Toner
I fell in love with Vilvah after trying out their Rosewater toner which I truly love in fact I love all their toners my favorite is the Jasmine, especially for this summer but mine, got over and I couldn’t find my empty bottle. Their tea tree toner is one of the best I have ever tried and I have tried quite a few of them. If you have acne-prone skin you will love this a lot. I suffer from heat boil or acne due to excessive heat, this toner really saves me. It feels so cooling and refreshing on the skin and it helps control the acne and helps subside the existing ones. Usually, tea tree dries your skin out if used too much but this one doesn’t so even if you have dry skin you will love this, and also if you have oily skin you will definitely fall in love. Also, this doesn’t sting your eyes. I have gone through like 3 to 4 bottles of this and I need to get more.
If you are not into a tea tree you can obviously check out their rose water and jasmine toner. They also have vetiver one but I haven’t tried that yet. I’ll soon. Also, the spray-on these bottles are my absolute fav. Plus look at that packaging it’s not only environment friendly its lightweight and keeps the toner cool inside all the time even in summer’s heat.

Indulgeo Chamomile Roman Witch Hazel Facial Mist/Toner
Indulgeo is one of my fav Indian brands and they make some really good products and that includes their face mist. They have one for all skin types. I have used their dry skin and sensitive skin ones. I use the sensitive skin one mostly in summers since it really helps soothes sunburns and skin allergies caused due to summer heat. The best part is the way they smell, the scent really helps in uplifting your mood. These bottles are very portable so its super easy to carry one around in your handbag and spirts some throughout the day. It doesn’t melt your makeup either. Even if you work in an office with AC whole day definitely try their dry skin one. Also, they have come up with a mint one recently for pores, and it’s really good but it’s a little too strong if you have sensitive skin if you have oily skin you would love it though. My only problem is that I don’t like the spray on this but I know everyone else loves it so you may like it. I end up emptying this in my Vilvah one and using it since I’m home anyway. Price-wise it may seem expensive but the quality definitely makes up for it.
Trick: if you have forgotten to apply body mist/perfume and kind of smell and have to enter a meeting room just spirts this in your cleavage and some inner part of your elbow and you will smell amazing.
Price: Rs 300/- for 50 ml.

Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner
I have dry skin and I love this. This is something I use all seasons and it works as a great toner with all my skincare especially the ones that have actives. This works as a primer and as a setting spray since this doesn’t move my makeup and makes it look refreshed. If you have dry dehydrated skin you would love this. This one doesn’t have an overwhelming scent or fragrance of rose so if you are not into floral scents you would still like this. I love the spray on this too. I have gone through too many bottles of this one and I need to get more since I am out of it in this lockdown. Price-wise it does seem expensive but it lasts longer than other mist and I usually buy this when it goes on a 20% discount. After using this one I stopped buying the forest essential facial mist which I used to truly love.
Tip: If your foundation looks cakey or if you applied too much powder just spray some of this on your beauty blender and dab and it will hydrate your skin and refresh your makeup. If you don’t have a sponge use a tissue paper.
Price: Rs 850/- for 125 ml

Juicy Chemistry HELICHRYSUM & VETIVER WATER TONER
I have tried a few of the Juicy chemistry Facial Mist and I did like them all. I have tried their tea tree one but I ended up loving the Vilvah one so I didn’t buy the JC one again. Though the ones I have tried are their old formulations and this is their old packaging. They have fancier and more environmentally friendly packaging now and it looks really good. I do really like their aloe vera one though. It’s great for oily to combination skin. Now coming to this one, I truly love this one since it really helps me when my skin starts acting crazy and starts breaking out. I usually break out if I eat a lot of junk food which I am so doing thanks to the lockdown and this helps manage my stubborn breakouts. This cools down my skin and it helps the acne to subside faster. Also, this helps in terms of spreading so when you get one acne it usually spreads since we have the habit of touching that acne constantly but using this mist throughout the day helps to keep the acne contained in one place which is awesome. I am not the biggest fan of the scent I never like the way Vetiver smells anyway but it’s not as bad.
Price: Rs 975/- for 110 ml

The Natural Wash Steam Distilled Pure Rose Water
If you are someone who loves powder face masks or DIY face mask and always needs rose water to active the mask you should definitely get your hands on this one, I use this with all my powder face masks. I actually got this one in PR and I loved it. I truly love using this. No matter how my skin is behaving this face mist instantly refreshes me. I have dry skin so I constantly need the refreshment throughout the day and this gives me that. Also, I love the spray on this. It’s perfect. It’s affordable and works for all skin types. Also, the scent of this isn’t overpowering since it doesn’t have added fragrance so it works for people with a sensitive nose too. This works for all seasons and skin types.

Kama Ayurveda Pure Lavender Water Face & Body Mist
So I don’t believe in spending too much on facial mist when you get some really good quality ones at a really good price so I stopped buying facial mist from Kama and Forest Essentials but this lavender one is mine and my mom’s fav since this one really helps us. Whenever I’m in the kitchen for too long cooking near the gas especially in the summers my skin turns red and starts burning but the moment I spray this mist on my skin it instantly cools it down and the redness subsides, same for my mom. She is more used to the heat then I am since I don’t cook all that much but when I do I really love using this. I also carry this one whenever I am going to beach vacations. I actually realized how awesome this is when I used this on my Dubai vacation where it was soo damn hot and I was in the desert burning. I finished this bottle in like two days. So I keep the mini bottle in my kitchen at all times.
Trick: If your armpits sweat too much you can spray some of this and pat it with a tissue, it really helps control your natural PH level there and your sweat won’t stain your clothes.
Price: Rs 275/- for 50 ml (technically it’s cheaper than the Indulgeo one but it never goes on discount unlike the Indulgeo one)

There are obviously a lot more brands that do amazing facial mist and especially Indian brands. The new upcoming Indian brands are coming up with good quality and affordably priced products but even as a blogger I can’t try them all so these are my top favorite compared to everything I have tested out so far. I’ll update this list if I find something way better than the ones mentioned above.
