Packaging: The outer packaging is the classic pink-orange ombre cardboard box with product info printed on it in black. The pan which has the highlighter is black with transparent top cap which you can flip open and close. The closure is magnetic. The quality of the plastic is okay nothing fancy or strong but it is sturdy enough for traveling. There are two shades of highlighters inside in different pans. The packaging is efficient.
Formula: The formula is between cream and powder. Its not chunky or powdery. Its not very glittery either. Its a proper sheeny glowly highlighter. Its super pigmented and very buildable.
Shades: There are two shades in the different pans. One is light blush shade which will suit fair skin tone and the other is bronze shade which will suit deep skin tone. The shades are neutral. You can mix the two shades.
My Experience: Okay to be straightforward from the go, I love this highlight. I recently purchased it and I haven’t stopped obsessing over it. Nykaa has two more shades which they launched first but I wasn’t so interested in those as I wasn’t inspired by those colors. I’m not a fan of strong gold highlights but when I saw this new launch Moonshine, I really wanted to try the hyped Nykaa highlighters.
The formula is between cream and powder, when you touch it, its creamy but it sets like a powder and doesn’t move or transfer much. It gives a gorgeous glow without looking glittery. I use this either with my fingers (when I want a really natural look) or with a big fan brush (when I want to go all out and look glamours). That’s what I love about it, That it is super buildable and doesn’t look too stark on the face.
I first take the bronze shade and top it off with the blush shade which gives the perfect shade for me as the bronze gold is a little dark and the blush shade is a little light. I love mixing them together.
TIPS:
- I even use the bronze shade as an eyeshadow. If I want a glowly bronze look I take the bronze gold shade on a big fluffy round brush and use it as a bronze topper. The blush gold shade is perfect for inner corner highlight and brow bone highlight.
- If you want a really blinding glow you can spray your brush with setting spray and then use it.
- If you think you have gone over board you can just use your wet sponge or brush which has foundation and go around the highlight and blend it.
Overall I think its a good Investment as it can be used in different ways and a little goes a long way. You get two shades in one which makes it affordable. They do have different warm tone and cool tone shade in their range according to different skin tones.

For reference: I have dry to combination (My nose and forehead is oily) and sensitive skin and have pigmentation around my lips and on the outline of my face. I’m not prone to acne but I do get heat boils due to weather change which do leave marks sometimes. I have few blemishes too on my face.
