Packaging: It is a glass tub with a white frosted bottom and purple color screw lid made of plastic. The packaging is heavy and classic. It’s sturdy and stylish but it’s heavy for traveling purposes.
Formula: The formula is gel-based. It goes transparent on the skin. It’s lightweight and hydrating on the skin. A little goes a long way. It’s great for all skin types including oily skin people too. It does have a flowery scent that doesn’t last for long and doesn’t affect your skin. It has Centella extract which is very good for the skin on regular use. It’s one of those ingredients which have been making a buzz in the skincare industry for all its amazing long term benefits.
My Experience:
The whole reason I tried this is because Shreya Jain on Youtube said that this is a dupe for Clinique Moisture Surge. I totally believe in her recommendation so I tried it and I wasn’t dissatisfied. I actually love it and I do believe it is a dupe in a certain way of Moisture surge.
Its gel-based and lightweight. It moisturizes and hydrates the skin making it soft, smooth, and supple. I have sensitive skin and the scent hasn’t affected me, in fact, it feels fresh on the skin but it does have added fragrance which may not be the greatest for extra sensitive skin. Also, it doesn’t help me with the redness caused due to heat or allergic reaction to dirt and dust and that’s the only difference for me. Other than that it basically works the same way as Clinique Moisture Surge. It works great without the comparison with the Moisture Surge so overall it’s a good moisturizer. Also, this one has added fragrance which may not be the greatest for sensitive skin
So I still use moisture surge when I am stepping out of the house as it controls my redness but I use this moisturizer on a regular basis when I am home and every time I wash my face. Makeup goes on smoothly on top of the cream as it works great as a primer too.
I have also used this over different serums and it doesn’t interfere with other products which are great. You can also use this like a thick 5 mins mask and then wipe off the excess and it gives you an instant glow without looking shiny or oily.
Overall it’s a good cream on its own and it is a great alternative to Clinique Moisture Surge. If you are on a budget this you can definitely check this one out but if you are looking in terms of sensitive skin and no fragrance then you would prefer the moisture surge more. Well, I still obviously use both on a regular basis. I would definitely recommend this but when it comes to repurchasing I would go for moisture surge.
My Rating: (4/5)

THE REVIEW ON CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE
For reference: I have dull, dry to combination (my nose is oily) and sensitive skin and have pigmentation around my lips and on the outline of my face. I’m not prone to acne but I do get them and sometimes heat boils due to weather change which do leave marks sometimes. I have few blemishes too on my face. I have dark circles under my eyes.
